Week 1 & 2: Keyboard + MS Word (Days 1 - 10)

Day 1:

    • Keyboard keys and their functions
    • Special keys and how they work
  • Finger placement practice on Typing Master software
  • How to open Control Panel and check Windows specifications

Day 2:

  • Create a new file and folder on the desktop
  • Change the directory of new files/folders and rename them
  • Introduction to MS Word:
    • Overview of MS Word interface (ribbons, toolbars, and menus)
    • Creating, opening, saving, and closing documents
    • Basic text input and navigation
    • Formatting basics (fonts, font size, bold, italics, underline)

Day 3:

  • Basic shortcut keys in MS Word
  • Paragraph and page formatting:
    • Line spacing and paragraph alignment
    • Indentation and text justification
    • Bullets, numbering, and lists
    • Page setup (margins, orientation, paper size)

Day 4:

  • Document editing:
    • Cut, copy, and paste
    • Undo, redo, and find/replace
    • Spell check, grammar check, and thesaurus
    • Track changes and comments

Day 5:

  • Working with tables:
    • Creating and formatting tables
    • Adding/deleting rows and columns
    • Merging/splitting cells
    • Adjusting table properties (borders, shading)

Day 6:

  • Inserting objects:
    • Pictures, shapes, and text boxes
    • Formatting charts
    • Headers, footers, and page numbers

Day 7:

  • Page layout and sections:
    • Page and section breaks
    • Column formatting (single, double, triple)
    • Creating cover and title pages
    • Using watermarks and page borders

Day 8:

  • Advanced formatting:
    • Using styles and themes
    • Creating and editing templates
    • Inserting hyperlinks
    • Creating a table of contents, index, and footnotes

Day 9:

  • Working with templates:
    • Creating templates from scratch (Admission Forms, Salary Slip, Resumes)
    • Modifying and using existing templates

Day 10:

  • Review and practical exercise:
    • Create a fully formatted document (resume, admission form, salary slip)
    • Apply learned skills (formatting, tables, headers, footers, etc.)

Week 3 & 4: MS Excel (Days 11 - 20)

    • Navigating cells, rows, columns
    • Entering data and basic formulas
    • Saving and organizing Excel files

Day 12:

    • Formatting numbers, dates, and text

Day 13:

    • Arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
